Universal Studios Hollywood confirmed the return of two popular holiday events for the 2022 winter season.
The Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Grinchmas celebrations will run everyday between November 25 and January 1, 2023, according to the California theme park, with all seasonal festivities included in the ticket charge.
Hogsmeade will be transformed with seasonal decorations and a light projection performance named The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, which blends imagery, animation, music, and sounds from the film series, as part of the Harry Potter-themed holiday party.
Guests may also enjoy a Hot Butterbeer, a seasonal acapella performance by the Hogwarts Frog Choir, and holiday shopping and themed dining experiences at Three Broomsticks.
The Grinchmas celebration will return to Universal Plaza with a 65-foot-tall tree covered with hundreds of ornaments and thousands of LED lights. The lighting ceremony will take place every night as the Grinch narrates his narrative.
The Grinch and his dog Max will be available for photos throughout the day, and Cindy-Lou Who will host daily story time for young visitors interested in learning about How the Grinch Stole Christmas. A variety of delectable seasonal delicacies, including hot chocolate, will also be available for purchase.
In addition to theme park events, Universal CityWalk will be decked out for the holidays with festive decorations and a 40-foot-tall Christmas tree illuminated with over 200,000 LED lights.
The Universal Orlando Resort announced last week that it would expand its holiday celebrations with new festive experiences on select nights between November 12 and January 1, 2023.
